Who is to blame for the worldwide phenomena of ukulele orchestras and ukulelemania?
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain!
Tap your toes with the royalty of the ukulele scene, the independent rock-stars of the “bonsai guitar”, who have plucked and sung, joked and whistled with Clean Bandit, Robbie Williams, Madness, Cat Stevens, The Ministry of Sound and Blue Peter.
The world’s very first Ukulele Orchestra is not just about ukuleles; it is about entertainment, joy, fun, strum and artistry.
Seasick Steve has today announced he will be performing 9 headline shows across the UK this November in support of his latest album, ‘Blues in Mono’. For these special, intimate shows entitled the “Just Steve, A Guitar and You Tour”, Steve will be performing solo.
Steve says: “I‘m lookin’forward to coming and playing for y’all. Just gonna be me, you and my guitar. A few songs and a few stories, kinda like we just hanging’out together! Gonna be fun. See ya there.”
Last year saw Steve release two albums, the rocking'Love & Peace’(July 2020) and the acoustic ‘Blues In Mono’(November 2020) a timeless tribute to traditional, acoustic country blues recorded with a microphone from the 1940s with Steve performing the songs solo, direct to an old tape machine.
The “Just Steve, A Guitar and You Tour” is a tour that fans have been crying out for, for many years. Steve can’t wait, offering fans his advice between now and the shows:
"In the meantime stay strong, workout, and eat your vegetables!”
Due to the continuing uncertainty as to when full capacity shows will be able to re- start, Queen Extravaganza’s UK & European tour 2021 is being moved to 2022.

John O'Connell’s Simply Dylan Band will be back in 2021 for a brand-new headline tour across the UK to celebrate Bob Dylan’s 80th Birthday.
As straightforward as the title suggests: no frills, no gimmicks, no pretense; Simply Dylan is John’s personal exploration and celebration of the rich and diverse work of Bob Dylan.
O'Connell, formerly of Groundpig, has had his name indelibly written into the tapestry of Liverpool's music scene, has collaborated with other highly reputable musicians to form his Dylan Band.
The combination of the band delivering high energy renditions of the prodigious songwriter’s work and John skillfully singing and enunciating the lyrics,
has seen the project go from recognising Dylan's 70th Birthday, to selling out the Cavern Club 6 times, to receiving fantastic reviews from audiences across
the UK and most recently having the privilege to open up the Isle of Wight Festival in 2019 on the big top stage.
“It is incredible to consider that Dylan has been writing and performing for some 6 decades and continues to do so right up to the present day.
The talent he has for story-telling and developing a song is extraordinary. My greatest challenge is deciphering a set-list when there is so much choice and an array
of genres to select from; after all everyone has their own personal favourite!”
60TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2022
One of the most iconic bands in British music, The Hollies, have moved their UK tour originally scheduled for Autumn 2021 to next year, in order to celebrate their 60th anniversary.
The band said:
‘We felt like this is something no other band gets to do, celebrate six decades together, 60 years of these songs that mean so much to us and so many others.
We’re incredibly excited performing for everyone on what will be some of the most special shows in the history of The Hollies.’
All previously purchased tickets are still valid for the new dates.
Famed for their soaring, distinctive melodies and brilliantly crafted songs, the 60th anniversary tour will see The Hollies performing their best known hits including ‘He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother’, ‘The Air That I Breathe’, ‘Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress)’, ‘Bus Stop’, ‘Carrie-Anne’ and ‘Sorry Suzanne’.
The extensive tour will begin in Birmingham on 22nd May, and will include two shows at the legendary London Palladium, before finishing at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on 21st June.
The line-up includes powerhouse drummer Bobby Elliott, and singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist Tony Hicks, both of whom are original members of the band. They are joined by lead singer Peter Howarth, as well as bass player Ray Stiles, Keyboardist Ian Parker, and Steve Lauri on Rhythm Guitar.
Celebrated as one of the most influential bands from the 1960s British Invasion era alongside the likes of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, the Hollies have had over 20 world-wide hits, including number one singles in both the US and UK. They have spent an astonishing 263 weeks in the UK top 40 official singles chart, and have been performing continuously since their formation in 1962.
Their cultivated musicianship, coupled with the Hollies’ extensive back catalogue of memorable rock ‘n’ roll tunes, has ensured the longevity of one of the greatest groups to emerge from the early 1960’s British Rock Revolution.
In 1995, they were bestowed the coveted Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution To British Music, and in 2010 were inducted into the American Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame for their ‘impact on the evolution, development and perpetuation of Rock and Roll’.
VIP packages also available including meet and greet with the band, photo opportunity, a signed photo and VIP laminate.
